GZFLS ISA Wenhua IB DP Programme

The school has a positive vibe that creates a healthy and engaging environment for both students and teachers. I have been pleased to be welcomed into a warm and caring environment with experienced educators who have positive attitude and energy. This is a wonderful motivator for me to come to school every day happy and give my best effort.

The school is in a picturesque and peaceful suburban area which allows for some lovely walks, yet is easily accessible to a metro station that connects us to downtown Guangzhou.

Since the school is in its growth stage, there are many opportunities to collaborate with colleagues and create something that benefits our students. Whether that is to develop as an individual, experience different aspects of teaching or create a memorable event, we will grow together and support each other.

I personally believe that this is the place where you can untap your potential and can grow further in your role as a teacher or a leader.

ISA Wuhan has quickly become a fantastic place of learning, and a wonderful environment for students and staff.

This has been an amazing opportunity for me and many others. We have settled in nicely to our new campus, and we look forward to bringing it to its full potential.

ISA is the first and the only school I wanted to be part of when relocating to Guangzhou. The diligent and professional colleagues that I have the honour to work with each day have only surpassed my expectations for a qualified and forward thinking educational institution.

Expect to be challenged but be confident that you will feel the difference.

Life in Guangzhou & Wuhan

Italian city

Guangzhou is located in the southeast of Guangdong province, in the north of the Pearl River Delta near Hong Kong and Macao. It is South China’s central transportation hub and trading port as well as the “south gate” of China. As the capital of Guangdong province, Guangzhou is a centre for politics, economy, technology, education and culture. Guangzhou is a famous cultural city with a history dating back 2200 years. Guangzhou has a population of approximately 17 million people. It is a sub-tropical city close to the Tropic of Cancer with mild weather and abundant rainfall. The four seasons are evergreen.

Transport in Guangzhou and Wuhan

Both cities have comprehensive, modern metro lines, expressways, international airports, inexpensive taxis, a bus system and Didi (taxi) services. It only takes 2 hours to travel from Guangzhou to Hong Kong and Macao by train or bus. Wuhan is a major transportation hub with high-speed rail connection to Beijing in the north, Guangzhou and Shenzhen in the south, Shanghai in the east and Chongqing and Chengdu in the west. Both are very convenient locations for travelling in China and other places in Asia.

Italian city

With a population of over 11 million, Wuhan is the capital and largest city of Hubei Province, the ninthmost populous Chinese city and one of the nine National Central Cities of China. The city lies in the eastern Jianghan Plain at the confluence of the Yangtze River and its largest tributary, the Han River, and is known as “Nine Provinces’ Thoroughfare”. Wuhan is the political, economic, financial, commercial, cultural and educational centre of Central China. Located in the sub-tropical monsoon humid climate zone, it is characterised by abundant rainfall, sufficient sunshine, and four distinct seasons.

Shopping and Restaurants

Since Guangzhou is a long-standing first tier city and Wuhan is a new first tier city in China, there are many supermarkets which sell imported groceries, shopping malls, restaurants that cater for every taste, and gigantic local markets that provide goods for the world to import. Living in Guangzhou and Wuhan is a shopping paradise. There are also international department stores such as IKEA stores where teachers like to shop for household and school resources.
